Medical case management includes personal contacts with claimant, employer, physicians, and other providers as deemed appropriate and realistic. Individual claimant needs are taken into consideration so care is directed accordingly. We consider this our most extensive program based on the scope of involvement and the individualized nature of case coordination required.
This program is beneficial to the post-injury claimant, especially when referral is made on a timely basis. The goal of medical management is to return the claimant to their optimal level of functioning.
Vocational Job Placement includes return to former employers and direct job placement with new employers. We provide a wide range of services dependent on needs. These include direct employer contact with education regarding the injured worker, completion of job modifications, written or videotaped job analysis, and supervision of transition back to work. Direct job placement provides the consumer with assessment, job placement plan, employer benefits review, selected appropriate job leads, resume' preparation, interviewing techniques, and other job seeking skills as needed.
The goal of our vocational job placement program is a return to work. We experience a high success rate with job placement cases.
J.H. Burnash & Co., Inc. offers private case management to individuals in need of this special program. With the elderly population growing and the difficulties in coordinating in-home services, equipment and supplies coupled with the lack of information from Medicare and supplemental insurances, case managers can be of assistance. This is an extremely valuable service for those families who are geographically removed from the clients.
Our nurse case managers can assist clients and families with designing alternative care options, coordinating appropriate care, assistance in filing claims, and reducing out-of-pocket costs.
